TOPPER DAN
(pumpkin, cotton balls, plastic lids and tops, teaspoon, paper, poster board, chenille sticks, fabric)
1. For hair, brush glue around the top of the pumpkin and press cotton balls into it.
2. On the pumpkin surface, trace around two plastic lids for eyes, a plastic top for the nose, and a plastic lid for the mouth with a pencil. Using a teaspoon, dig out shallow holes within the traced circles. Twist the lids or tops into the holes.
3. Cut out pupils from paper, and glue them on the eyes. Cut out a mustache shape from a piece of poster board, and cover it with cotton. Trim around the edges with scissors if needed. Glue the mustache between the nose and mouth.
4. Twist two chenille sticks together to make eyeglasses, and place the earpieces snugly in the hair. Cut two ears from large plastic lids. Have an adult help you cut a slot on each side of the head, and insert the ears. Use a strip of fabric for a bow tie.
